September's Book of the Month

The Napping House

It's a rainy afternoon and Granny is snoring in bed while a child crawls on top of her and dreams. The pile keeps getting bigger! First, a dozing dog, a snoozing cat, a slumbering mouse and finally a flea who, wakes everyone up! How does this happen? Read to find out!

Word of the Month

For the month of September the students will be discussing RESPECT. We will work together to know, understand and use the term in and out of class. At the end of the month the students will be voting on who they think has been the most respectful. The student who is chosen will receive an award and attend an assembly for recognition. We will continue this each month with a new character trait. Check back next month for the winner and the new word of the month!

Welcome to Reading students!!

Hello and welcome! I am your Reading teacher Mrs. Ahern. I am going to show you how much fun reading is! This is going to be so much fun and I cannot wait to get started! I have been so busy preparing the classroom for all our fun adventures ahead. We have many stations to discover together! Stations are a learning tool where we learn through self and peer discovery. I am so excited to show you around! On the first day of school, we have a lot to learn together and I will guide you through every step.
On the first day, you will meet new friends or see old friends just like you who are excited to get started. We all get nervous the first day back but we will conquer our fears together because we are a team!
